Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Network Installer to join our team supporting the FAA and the BNATCS modernization program. You will maintain and enhance IP-based networks behind mission-critical aviation systems, ensuring uptime, performance, and security across distributed sites.

You will travel up to 100% to FAA facilities in the region, reside near Denver, and collaborate with aviation, cybersecurity, and engineering experts. A solid background in enterprise networks and FAA NAS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience (or equivalent: Master’s 6+, Associate’s 10+, HS 12+).
• Proven experience managing and supporting enterprise network environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
• Hands-on with Cisco, Juniper or similar networking technologies.
• Experience with SD-WAN, fiber optics, and wireless LAN/WAN.
• Familiarity with firewalls and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Ability to read/interpret network diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with OTDR fiber testing.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and security of FAA network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Support SD-WAN across distributed environments.
• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling.
• Perform fiber testing with OTDR and certification tools.
• Monitor systems, analyze logs, and respond to incidents.
• Troubleshoot network issues across fiber, SD-WAN, and IP layers.
• Support network cutovers, migrations, and failover validation.
• Maintain network diagrams and configuration records.
