Job summary

Peraton in Memphis, TN is seeking a Network Installer to maintain and enhance FAA network infrastructure behind missioncritical aviation systems. This role supports SD-WAN, fiber, and IP networks across distributed sites and requires local travel within the region.

You will work with Cisco/Juniper gear, test fiber with OTDR, and keep accurate diagrams and records while contributing to NAS modernization efforts.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience (or equivalent: Master's 6+, Associate's 10+, HS diploma 12+).
Experience managing and supporting enterprise network environments.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking technologies.
Experience with SD-WAN, fiber optics, and wireless LAN/WAN technologies.

Responsibilities

Ensure the uptime, performance, and security of FAA network infrastructure.
Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Support SD-WAN solutions across distributed environments.
Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling (single-mode and multi-mode).
Perform fiber testing using OTDR and certification tools.
Monitor systems daily, analyze logs, and respond to incidents.
Troubleshoot network issues across fiber, SD-WAN, and IP layers, escalating as needed.
Support network cutovers, migrations, and failover validation.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and configuration records.
