Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively seeking an A&P Technician with 3+ years of experience for a long-term contract in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial aircraft.

You will diagnose mechanical discrepancies using approved maintenance data, remove/install components, and document work while complying with FAA regulations and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
• Minimum of three years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience with commercial aircraft, ATA codes, manuals, and technical data.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, AMM/SRM, IPC, and other manuals.
• Ability to work in a hangar environment, climb ladders, and lift tools or components.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical discrepancies and determine corrective actions using approved maintenance data.
• Remove, inspect, repair, replace, and install aircraft components, engines, and related systems.
• Perform engine removal/installation, servicing, adjustments, and run/tests as assigned.
• Read and interpret AMM, SRM, IPC, and other technical documents.
• Maintain thorough maintenance records and ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.
• Coordinate with inspectors and maintenance personnel to complete tasks efficiently.
• Assist less-experienced mechanics and maintain a safe work environment.
