Job summary

Hermeus is seeking an MRO Propulsion Engineer to own the maintenance, refurbishment, and overhaul lifecycle of F100 engines, including acceptance testing. This hands-on role requires collaboration with engineers and technicians to keep propulsion systems performing at their best in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/aerospace background, 3+ years in F100 MRO or equivalent, and 2+ years designing propulsion hardware, with strong fundamentals across combustion,

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of F100 MRO experience or experience with a similar-thrust class engine.
  • 2+ years of professional experience designing flight propulsion hardware.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in combustion, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, structural dynamics, and materials science.

Responsibilities

About The Role:

As an MRO PropulsionEngineer you will take ownership of the maintenance, refurbishment, and overhaul (MRO) lifecycle of our F100engines—including acceptance testing. This is a hands-on, high-impact role whereyou’llwork side-by-side with passionate engineers and technicians to keep our propulsion systems performing at their best. Requirements

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • 6+ years of F100 MRO or equivalent experience
  • 4+years designing jet or rocket propulsion hardware with CAD +GD&T
  • Proven responsibility for flight-proven hardware
  • Experience with: air-breathing combustors, augmenters, ignition systems, variable-area nozzles, turbomachinery, high-temperature mechanical assemblies
  • Siemens Teamcenter + NX
  • ANSYS
  • High-temperature alloy design and manufacturing
  • Additively manufactured metal alloys
  • Jet fuel experienceGenerating work instructions and managing nonconformances
  • Instrumentation selection and usage for ground or flight test
  • Hands-on experience with machining, welding, or hardware integration
  • Hardware certification for flight operations, including test asset development

  • Willingness to travel to support build and test campaigns

$91,800 - $187,450 a year

Engineer I $91,800 - $112,200

Engineer II $114,750 - $140,250

Engineer III $138,550 - $187,450

The salary range listed for this role is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including role scope and responsibilities, relevant experience, education and training, key skills, market data, and business needs.
