Job summary

Angry Chickz is hiring a Crew Member to prepare quality menu items and deliver friendly, fast service. You will work across fry, prep, seasoning and expo, learning all stations with training provided.

Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required as we train on the job. You're expected to follow safety and sanitation standards, maintain clean work areas, and communicate effectively with teammates in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate with colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide amazing food and excellent customer service.
• Work at multiple stations: fry, cashier, prep, seasoning, breading and expo.
• Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
• Set up and sanitize stations on the line.
• Maintain clean food preparation areas, surfaces and utensils.
• Labeling and rotating food products.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment.
• Follow dietary requirements for meals as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (I

• Knowledge of company recipes and preparation
• Ensure food is prepared with care and of the best quality, flavor, and presentation.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Responsible for setup and sanitation of the stations on the line
• Maintain clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
• Maintaining organization, proper labeling, and rotation of food products
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, or griddles.
• Support the dietary department by following specific dietary requirements for meals
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook or similar role within a restaurant or food service setting
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues

• Familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous
• Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Attire:

Wear Angry Chickz uniform as well as non-slip shoes required by safety department.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Language Ability:

Able to speak clearly and comprehend directions in English. Able to read English. Ability to read/speak Spanish is extremely helpful but not mandatory.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of the job the cook is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and bend and twist at the waist
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Use of hands to grasp tools such as a knife, spatula, ladle, and other utensils to prepare food
• Repetitive hand use
• Reaching for items below waist level (retrieving food items from walk-in cooler or drawers), between waist and shoulder level (washing dishes, placing plates on shelf), and above shoulder (retrieving plates or containers from shelves)
• Exposure to extreme cold (walk-in cooler), extreme heat (stove, oven), moisture (water, steam, dishwasher), and dust, fumes, or chemicals (cleaning solutions)
