Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Eyewear Consultant in Leesburg, VA to provide personalized eyecare support within a collaborative office team. You will learn industry knowledge through training and help patients select eyewear while explaining insurance benefits and delivering strong service.

Some weekend/evening shifts are required. This role offers wage ranges by county, with Loudoun County positions paying $17.70–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and location.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with exceptional customer service and understand their needs.
• Assist in eyewear frame and lens selection using product knowledge.

• Use provided training to fit and adjust eyeglasses from a wide selection.
• Coordinate with Office Optometrist to support patient needs.
• Collaborate with doctors and staff for a seamless patient experience.
• Promote MyEyeDr. values and brand during patient interactions.
• Participate in other office duties as assigned.

For locations in the Virginia counties of Arlington, Alexandria City, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Manassas City, Stafford, Fauquier, Clarke, Culpepper, and Spotsylvania, the wage range for this position is $17.70-$24.00 hourly, based on experience and office location. For all other counties in Virginia, the wage range for this position is $15.25-$20.90 hourly, based on experience and office location. The company complies with all state and local wage and hour laws and the minimum pay range will always be at or above the applicable minimum wage.

You Will

• Provide patients with exceptional customer service by understanding and advising the patient’s needs
• Assist patients in eyewear/frame/lens selection process by using knowledge of product lines and options to educate patients on best fit
• Consistently deliver sales plan and office goals through cultivating a patient experience that is built on relationship building and trust
• Provide patients with comprehensive explanation of insurance benefits
• Utilize company provided training to fit, measure, and adjust eyeglasses from our wide selection of stylish eyewear
• Complete optometric tasks in partnership with our Office Optometrist to best serve the patient and their selected lenses or frames
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team members to provide seamless patient experience
• Communicate and demonstrate the MyEyeDr. values and brand philosophy while working with patients
• Participate in other office duties as assigned

About You

• Experience in a customer facing or sales related position (Retail, Hospitality or Optical field preferred, but not required)
• A proactive approach to problem solving with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Willing to learn about industry, product, and services
• Ability to sell with a desire to meet office goals with a “can do” attitude
• Friendly, caring, and patient‑centric person who thrives in a fast‑paced environment
• Team player who is willing to collaborate to provide the best patient experience
