Qualifications

• Must have ability to read and follow simple instructions, work orders, and documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Attention to detail and quality control are critical in this role.

Responsibilities

• Remove lenses from frames and trace frames using specialized equipment.
• Block lenses using finishing blocker devices.
• Cut lenses to the shape of frames using edging equipment.
• Mount and secure lenses into eyeglass frames using hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Inspect frame alignment, pupillary distances (PDs), segment heights, and lens fit.
• Verify lens circumference and frame fit.
• Clean lenses and frames as needed.
• Inspect frames for scratches, defects, and overall quality.
• Verify frame type and conduct cosmetic inspections of lenses.
• Compare frame and lens specifications against machine diagrams for accuracy.
• Check alignment of frames, lenses, and temples.
• Apply lens markings and verify proper lens alignment.
• Read, analyze, and follow work orders to ensure production accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and productivity standards.
