Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners seeks a Surgical Technician to support the operating room at PSCON Surgery Center in Carson City, NV. The role involves assisting nurses and physicians to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include setting up the OR with equipment, transporting and monitoring patients, and coordinating with anesthesia. Requires 2 years OR experience and a High School diploma with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 2 years of operating room experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills; oral and written.
• Familiarity with standard surgical instruments and equipment.
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and Medical office software.
• Strong organization skills.
• Self-Motivated with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• To utilize specialized knowledge of surgical techniques while giving direct and indirect patient care.
• Assists in set-up of operating room with all necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assists with the preparation, transportation, and monitoring of patients.
• Provides assistance to team members, physicians, and anesthesia personnel as needed.
• Reviews physicians' preference cards and updates as needed.
• Ability to handle stress associated with prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Selects equipment and supplies in an organized, cost effective and timely manner.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
