Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Research Data Scientist I at Cole Eye Research to analyze complex datasets and develop predictive models for macular degeneration research. You will use SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB and similar tools to derive insights and support data-driven decisions.

You will collaborate with Data & Analytics and Innovation teams, handling imaging data, and contributing to machine learning and Databricks workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field and two years of data analytics/math/statistical modeling or ML
• OR Master’s or PhD degree
• Proficiency in SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB or similar languages

Responsibilities

• Utilize statistical, mathematical and predictive modeling techniques to analyze complex datasets and develop algorithms.
• Apply programming skills in SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB to perform data analytics and generate insights.
• Organize, manage and analyze imaging data supporting macular degeneration research.
• Support data visualization, manuscript preparation and publication efforts.
