Syneos Health is seeking an Eye Care Educator to educate Eye Care Professionals on essential eye exams for cancer patients and to empower teams with clear, actionable guidance. The role focuses on training and supporting HCPs to understand eye exams and results communication within Hematology/Oncology.

You will collaborate with Oncology teams to align REMS information with FDA guidance. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in optometry/ophthalmology/nursing with oncology focus,

Qualifications

• Alternatively, 1–3 years of direct oncology experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across management levels.
• Able to develop and deliver product-specific training materials.

Responsibilities

The Eye Care Educator is designed to provide critical support to educate & inspire Eye Care Professionals (ECP) on the critical role they play in caring for cancer patients with Relapsed refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) on the necessary eye exams and their associated importance for patients. This team will work in conjunction with the Hematology/Oncology teams, but its role is distinct and focused on training and empowering Health Care Professionals to effectively carry out eye council patients on OAEs and communicate results to patients and Hem/Oncology teams.

Role Overview:

• Lead and Empower: Educate Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on essential eye exams for patients—highlighting their importance—and offer clear, actionable guidance for communicating results to patients and Hem/Oncology teams.
• Impactful Training: Deliver tailored educational materials that equip Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) with a thorough understanding of critical patient care procedures.
• Collaborate for Clarity: Partner with Oncology Account Managers and the Medical team to ensure seamless communication of product-related information, including REMS details, in alignment with FDA guidance.
• Support Care Coordination as needed
• Bachelor’s Degree: A 4-year BA/BS degree is required.
• 3+ years in optometry, ophthalmology, or nursing, with a focus on oncology or specialized medical education.
• Alternatively, 1–3 years of direct clinical oncology experience, including oncology education, patient care, and interaction with physicians.
• Advanced Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain complex oncology concepts to Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) and other key stakeholders.
• Collaborative Expertise: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Skilled in developing and delivering product-specific training and educational materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively across all levels of management and departments

Desired Requirements:

• Specialty pharmacy/payer experience is preferred
• CRN, NPs, PAs with eye care experience is highly preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $160,000-$167,500 The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance
