EY-Parthenon in New York seeks a Senior Director for Deal Management to lead and execute operational strategies across multiple sectors. You will guide client service teams, shape transaction approaches, and drive value through rigorous analysis and effective integration planning.

The role requires extensive M&A consulting experience, strong leadership, and the ability to travel as needed. EY-Parthenon offers a hybrid work model and a comprehensive Total Rewards package.

Deal Management works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in operations who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Director in Deal Management, you will be a vital member of the team leading and executing operational focused projects. You will execute and manage projects across all sectors, directing our client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions. You will also be focusing on business and practice development as well as developing team members to achieve their career goals.

• Project Management – lead project teams comprising of colleagues from across the EY-Parthenon sub service lines.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience.
• MBA is preferred.
• Significant M&A management consulting experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
• Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
• The ability to make detailed assessments of technology, operations, or manufacturing infrastructure.
• The ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
• The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Ideally, you will also have

• A proven record of excellence in a mergers or acquisitions transactions role.
• Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
• Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
• Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $250,000 to $290,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
