Clear Destination Inc. is seeking an Extrusion Technician A to support set-up, changeover and operation of extrusion lines. You will read production orders, assist with quality monitoring, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to implement 5S initiatives and maintain them.
• Experience in blown film extrusion is preferred.
• Must complete operator training and testing.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours and flexibility in overtime.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative and display leadership skills.
• Ensure all safety policies are practiced by all employees.
• Follow all written procedures.
• Maintain a good attendance record.
• Understand machinery and processes.
• Operate machinery at maximum output while maintaining quality.
• Maximize quality and minimize downtime and waste.
• Use proper blends to meet quality and cost initiatives.
• Train operators and new employees as needed.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Be visibly on production floor for safety and quality.
• Troubleshoot material or resin issues and machinery issues as needed.
• Schedule events to minimize downtime.
• Follow SQF and GMP policies.
• Identify safety-related issues or productivity risks.
• Utilize training matrix and meet criteria.
• Know raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and manufacturing techniques.
• Know operation of machinery, policies, and procedures.
• Know all working departments in the facility.
