Merit Medical Systems is looking for an Extrusion Operator I for the 1st shift in Pearland, TX. The role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting extrusion equipment to produce high-quality parts, while processing work orders and supporting new product implementations.

You will contribute to department metrics and assist with related duties as required. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience, with emphasis on attention to

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma and one year of related experience.
• Knowledge of the operation of extruders, braiders, pullers, cutters, dies, etc.
• Individual must be self-motivated and possess good judgment to maintain a high degree of quantity with quality.
• Ability to recognize problems and make adjustments to the equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks well.
• Ability to follow instructions in performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots extrusion equipment.
• Processes documentation such as work orders.
• Assists in the implementation of new products and equipment.
• Contributes to meeting department goals and operational metrics.
• Performs other related duties as required.
