Job summary

Suzano is seeking an Extrusion Supervisor in the United States to lead a frontline team and ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met. The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, coaching, and problem-solving to optimize workflow and adherence to standards.

Ideal candidates have an engineering background with 3–5 years in manufacturing, especially extrusion, and a track record of leading teams in a production setting.

About the Role

The Extrusion Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the Extrusion department’s daily operations by leading a frontline team to meet safety, quality, production, and efficiency goals. This position focuses on hands‑on supervision, coaching, and problem‑solving to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to standards. What You’re Going to Do
  • Lead and supervise the extrusion operators and technicians, providing day-to-day guidance and support.
  • Ensure all safety, quality, environmental, and production procedures are strictly followed.
  • Monitor production targets, KPIs, and schedules to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues quickly, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support inventory management of LDPE and specialty resins in coordination with the manager.
  • Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional development and engagement.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and product standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices on the floor.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support department goals.
What We Expect from You
  • Technical background, ideally with a degree or certification in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in extrusion or converting operations.
  • Proven experience leading or supervising frontline teams in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to act quickly in operational situations.
  • Good communication skills for effective team leadership and cross‑department collaboration.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory and material handling preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office, or production monitoring tools is a plus.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and operational excellence.
