Job summary

NYCOA in Manchester, NH seeks an experienced Plastics/Process Engineer to maintain and enhance performance in the Extrusion Compounding Department. You will collaborate with the Director of Operations and Process Improvement Manager on daily production support and long-term improvement projects, including scale-up with the R&D team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; plastics engineering strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) across all departments and levels.

Responsibilities

• Drive standardization across the extrusion compounding department.
• Resolve product variation issues and implement actions for consistent quality.
• Evaluate process operations and develop optimization opportunities.
• Provide training on updated procedures and actions during the MOC process.
• Perform data analysis to drive continuous improvement actions.
• Evaluate process safety challenges and develop controls to mitigate hazards.
• Interact with vendors and contractors to achieve process goals.
• Plan production scheduling for compound operation.
• Oversight of the extrusion compounding department.
