Job summary

Prerequisite training as an Electrode Boxer.

Responsibilities

Operate the extruder and related equipment to manufacture manual electrodes.
Verify chemical slugs, core wire color codes, and IDs; load materials as required.
Inspect electrodes for defects and monitor coating eccentricity.
Make mechanical adjustments and replace worn parts (feeds, dies, belts, tubes).
Perform changeovers and clear jams to maintain production flow.
Identify, isolate, and process rejected or nonconforming material; salvage where applicable.
Follow all procedures, work instructions, and safety rules; report hazards.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and escalate issues as needed.
