We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Extrusion Operator II to join our team in Danvers, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and optimizing extrusion-related processes in a highly regulated medical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 2pm-10:15pm

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sets up and operates plastic extrusion equipment to manufacture miniature, precision tubing to established quality standards to meet production demands.
  2. Assists engineering team in development of extrusion tooling, equipment and material.
  3. Knows process of screw and tool design, resin characteristics, temperature control, automated feedback loops, and ancillary downstream equipment such as burst testers and slickers.
  4. Troubleshoots, repairs and conducts maintenance on extrusion equipment.
  5. Ensures materials necessary for extrusions are dried to specifications.
  6. Mixes, blends, or colors raw materials as required.
  7. Writes and executes equipment qualifications on all new or modified tooling or equipment to test and qualify items and provide documented proof that operations are within established parameters.

Qualifications

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications

Requires minimum of 2 years of experience.

Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  2. Strong understanding of equipment operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  3. Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and adhere to strict hygiene protocols.
  4. Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  6. Experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment.
  7. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $47,600-71,400.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
