Job summary

Tekni-Plex, Inc. is hiring an Extrusion Operator for our Manchester, NH facility. The role involves setup, operation, and tending to extrusion machines to produce thermoplastic tubes, solids, shapes or coated products.

Responsibilities include line setup, quality checks with precision measuring tools, and interpreting work orders to meet specifications. Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent GED certification with 18 months related work experience, preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in lines setup and adjust equipment to meet product specs.
  • Inspect products using laser micrometers, gage pins, calipers, and other tools.
  • Identify and pull materials per production paperwork and load machinery.
  • Adjust equipment to meet customer specification counts.
  • Perform line safety inspections and ensure proper operation.
  • Read work orders and customer prints to produce parts.
  • Other duties as required.

JOB SUMMARY

TekniPlex is hiring an Extrusion Operator for our Manchester, NH facility. Responsible for the setup, operation, or tend to machines to extrude thermoplastic in tubes, solids, shapes or coated products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in lines setup according to run sheet, adjusting equipment and machinery as necessary to meet product specification.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to specification using various measuring methods including: Laser micrometers, Gage Pins, Tape measures, Snap Gages, and Calipers
  • Identify and pull materials using production paperwork and load machinery.
  • Adjust equipment to ensure product count meets customer specification.
  • Assisting in perform line safety inspections to ensure equipment is running properly.
  • Able to read, retain, and decipher information from work orders and customer prints to produce parts.
  • Performs other duties as required by business needs or assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School graduate or equivalent GED certification with 18 months related work experience, preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
