Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a Production Operator to maintain efficient operation of production equipment in a designated cell. The role focuses on loading gaskets, packaging end products, and ensuring quality through visual inspection and dimensional checks against SPC charts.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety procedures, and flexibility to assist with changeovers and start-up activities as needed, while maintaining clean and safe work areas.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment on assigned cell or work area.
• Maintain operation of multiple lines, load gaskets and package end product for shipment.
• Visually inspect product for quality assurance purposes.
• Measure and record pipe dimensions; take action per SPC charts.
• Control dimensions to maintain pipe specifications under supervision.
• Move bundled pipe from work area and assist with start-up/changeovers.
• Follow safety and housekeeping procedures; maintain clean, safe area.
• Relieve and assist other operators as needed; work as a team.
