Job summary

Covestro is seeking a manufacturing operator in Newark, OH to operate extrusion equipment, perform line changeovers, and prepare premixes. You will calibrate feeders, transfer materials, and maintain documentation while using both English and metric calculations.

A High School diploma and WorkKeys scores are required, with a preference for 1 year of manufacturing experience and forklift/shuttle truck certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; meet minimum WorkKeys test scores.
• Preferred: one year of manufacturing experience.
• Forklift training and shuttle yard truck certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot extrusion equipment and handle extrusion line cleanups and changeovers.
• Prepare production run formulation premixes.
• Calibrate feeders and calculate factor numbers, based on run sheets, equipment and materials.
• Package and transfer finished products.
• Maintain departmental documentation.
• Make calculations using English and Metric systems.
• Transfer raw materials.
• Sample and analyze product by visual appearance and testing as needed.
• Operate capacity shuttle yard truck.
• Operate computer systems to perform various functions and processes required for your job.
