Job summary

Laborup is hiring an Extrusion Operator to run and maintain plastic extrusion lines in a hands-on manufacturing role. You will operate extruders and downstream equipment, prepare lines for production, and perform startup/shutdown procedures while ensuring products stay within specification.

You will adjust process variables, perform quality checks with precision tools, and coordinate with maintenance and tooling teams as needed.

Qualifications

1+ year of experience with plastic extrusion equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic production equipment issues.
Ability to read and understand product specifications and work instructions.
Experience using measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers.

Responsibilities

Operate extrusion lines and downstream equipment.
Setup and startup extrusion lines and perform normal shutdown procedures.
Make adjustments to color, length, tooling position, pins and other process variables.
Perform routine quality inspections and measurements with precision tools.
Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, quality and process issues with maintenance and leadership.
Monitor production flow, support downstream packaging, and maintain records.
Complete required production, quality, scrap, labeling and equipment records.
