Job summary

UACJ Automotive Whitehall Industries, Inc. is seeking an Extrusion Material Handler to support production by moving and storing materials, unloading ovens, and tracking heat age data. The role requires forklift operation and basic math skills, with duties spanning daily production logistics and scrap management.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, standing and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the daily schedule and provide material handling support to extrusion area.
• Unload and store aluminum logs / receive material and move logs to the log oven.
• Load and unload heat age ovens, record heat age data and tickets.
• Oversee scrap level in trailers, dump scrap, record pounds and coordinate pickup.
• Ensure materials and buy-outs are on hand or available before setup.
• Inform Production Control when materials or schedules don’t align.
• Assist in organizing flow of materials and inventory levels.
• Inform Purchasing when materials or inventory levels are high or low.
• Communicate with other material handlers and supervisors to sustain operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

# EXTRUSION MATERIAL HANDLERHot Job## Description**Job Purpose:** Monitor daily schedule and provide material handling in support of production operations**Qualifications:*** **Education and Experience****: High school diploma or equivalent** education & experience* **Knowledge****:** Knowledge of practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment related to the handling of material for production support and receiving of materials.* **Skills & Abilities**: Ability to operate a forklift. Good verbal communication and basic math skills.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:**1. Monitor the daily schedule and provide material handling support to extrusion area.2. Unload and store aluminum logs / receive material and support moving logs to the log oven.3. Loads and unloads heat age ovens, records heat age data, tickets loads and moves to stores.4. Oversee level of scrap in scrap trailers, dump scrap into trailers, record scrap pounds, coordinate the pick-up of scrap trailers.5. Confirm all materials and buy-outs are on hand or will be available prior to the scheduled set-up/production.6. Inform the Production Control Department when materials and schedules don't agree.7. Assist in organizing/improving the identification and flow of materials with inventory levels that appear too high or too low.8. Inform Purchasing when materials or inventory levels appear too high or low.9. Communicate with other material handlers and supervisors to successfully sustain operations from shift to shift.10.
