Job summary

Amcor is hiring Extrusion Operators in Mundelein, IL to set up, run, and support extrusion machines in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This hands-on role suits candidates with machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety.

You will work a 2-2-3 schedule, 12-hour shifts, with day or night options and weekend/holiday availability. Benefits start day one, including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match, plus a $1,000 referral bonus to eligible hires.

Extrusion Machine Operator

Amcor - Mundelein, IL 60060

• Pay: $22-$27/hour based on experience

• Night shift premium: Additional $1.00/hour

• Bonus: $1,000 referral

• Schedule: 2-2-3, 12 hour schedule on days, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM, or nights 6:00 PM-6:00 AM. (Must be available to work weekends and Holidays)

Amcor is hiring Extrusion Operators to set up, run, and support extrusion machines in our Mundelein manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on production role for candidates with machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude.

What You'll Do

• Set up and run extrusion machines to meet production standards
• Perform quality checks and document results
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Record production data and maintain clean work areas
• Assist with machine maintenance

Must Have

• Machine operator, manufacturing, production, packaging, printing, or web handling experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance, safety focus, and teamwork skills

Preferred

• Accurate measurement skills
• Basic metric conversion knowledge
• Forklift or hand jack experience
• Experience helping train or guide team members
