Job summary

KCCCONSULTING in Kentucky is seeking a production operator to operate and monitor extrusion and related equipment on a rotating 12-hour schedule. You will process materials, document steps, and help maintain safety and quality during shifts.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, manufacturing or production experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training others and working around industrial machinery are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing, machine-operation or production experience.
• At least 1 year of extrusion experience; plastics experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Forklift or skid-steer experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk for a 12-hour shift.
• Comfortable around industrial machinery and varying temperatures.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, adjust, start and shut down recycling equipment.
• Operate pulverizers, extrusion, melt-blending and pelletizing equipment.
• Process, batch and stage plastic materials according to specifications.
• Monitor product quality and make necessary equipment adjustments.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
• Operate forklifts, skid steers and other material-handling equipment.
• Complete production, quality and equipment documentation.
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with training less-experienced operators.

Schedule:

Rotating 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule

Day Shift: 6:45 AM–7:00 PM

Night Shift: 6:45 PM–7:00 AM
