Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation in Mansfield, TX is seeking an operator to produce PTFE tube by operating sintering ovens and ensuring product quality. The role involves setting up equipment, monitoring processes, and adjusting profiles to meet specifications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Control lab with test samples from each extrusion.
• Adjust pads on take up and change oven profiles according to specifications.
• Communicate number of preforms needed for job based on footage to extrusion department.
• Create SPC chart for new job to track OD.
• Monitor and measure wall thickness, OD and ID of beginning and ending cuts.
• Pressure test finished tube with air.
• Fill out Preform Record Form, enter data into MRP, print labels and use scanner to place in stock.
• Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices.
• Follow safety regulations and quality guidelines.
• Report production issues to Direct Lead.
• Perform work of an equal or lower classification.
• Perform related and other duties assigned by the Value Stream Team Lead.

Position Summary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide Quality Control lab with test samples from each extrusion
2. Adjust pads on take up according to the size of diameter on manufacturing specifications and change oven profiles according to instructions
3. Communicate number of preforms needed for job based on footage to extrusion department
4. Create SPC chart for new job to track OD
5. Monitor and measure wall thickness, OD and ID of beginning and ending cuts
6. After finished tube is extruded, pressure test with air
7. If needed, run finished tube through roller test before pressure testing with air
8. Fill out Preform Record Form, enter data into MRP, print labels and use scanner to place in stock
9. Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices
10. Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
11. Report production issues to Direct Lead
12. Perform work of an equal or lower classification
13. Perform related and other duties assigned by the Value Stream Team Lead.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education required:

High School diploma or GED

Experience:

Production work preferred but not required.

On the job training from 1 to 8 weeks or extend to 10 weeks if needed.
