• Must possess good organizational skills.
• Must be proactive and show initiative in taking on and completing extrusion projects.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee polymer extrusion line setup/teardown, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with production and R&D to ensure tubing meets specs and adjust as needed.
• Ensure timely extrusion to meet production and R&D schedules.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to develop tooling/fixtures for high-quality products.
• Manage raw materials to ensure traceability and prevent contamination.
• Generate extrusion run documentation to control traceability and reproducibility.

Position Summary:

The Extrusion Engineer is responsible for all aspects of a polymer extrusion line used to create tubing for production and R&D

• Responsible for all aspects of the polymer extrusion line, including but not limited to; set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and work flow.
• Work with production personnel and R&D to ensure extruded tubing meets requirements and make adjustments as required.
• Provide extrusions in a timely manner in order to ensure production and R&D schedules are met.
• Work with outside vendors to develop tooling and fixtures that result in producing high quality product.
• Manage raw extrusion materials in a way that ensures traceability and prevents contamination.
• Generate documentation on extrusion runs that is used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility.
