Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Extrusion Assistant to support Coater and Blown Film operations. You will help with setup, changeovers, runs and shutdowns while maintaining safety, quality and efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

You will perform housekeeping, manage resin inventory, and support continuous improvement initiatives while working 12-hour shifts, including nights, with the potential for overtime and Sunday premium.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn production systems and programs.
• Basic math, measurement, and reading skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform climbing, crouching and reaching tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and promote a safety-first culture.
• Operate Coater and Blown Film machines when qualified and as needed.
• Order and maintain resin box inventory to support production needs.
• Package mill rolls and manage scrap materials efficiently.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Support 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives, including cross-training opportunities.
• Understand and support product safety requirements.
• Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned by leadership.

Pay: $25.96/hour

Shift Premium: $1.20/hour for nights

Additional Pay: 1.5x pay on Sundays and for hours worked over 40 per week

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (days and nights, rotating bi-weekly)
• 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 straight night schedule

About the Role
