Job summary

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited is seeking an Extruder Technician in Fontana, CA. This full-time role operates an extrusion line, emphasizing quality and defect-free production for piping products.

Shift runs 7:00 pm to 5:30 am, with 4 on/3 off on a rotating AWS 4x4 schedule. The candidate should have 1 year of extrusion or manufacturing experience, read/write English, perform basic math, and understand extrusion equipment and QC requirements.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking to immediately hire a full-time extruder technician. We have 4 AWS working 4 days, 10 hours. This position is open to work 7:00 pm to 5:30 am, alternate schedules, works 3 days gets 2 days off.

Job Function

• The Extruder Technician works alongside a team of extruders and production workers and is responsible for physically operating an extrusion line in a way that ensures all products are produced free from cosmetic and physical defects and are within manufacturing tolerances.
• The Line Operator is responsible for the quality of the production run and adjusts documents and operating conditions to produce the highest attainable quality of pipe safely and efficiently.
• Strong desire for personal advancement and the willingness to achieve by learning our manufacturing systems and reporting as scheduled with an upbeat team player mindset.
• Proven history of good attendance.
• Experience setting up & operating extrusion machinery; Set ups, Changeovers, Adjustment, Mechanical Aptitude; Ability to Troubleshoot; Visual &quality Inspections, Basic Paperwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.

Requirements

Occupational and/or Physical Requirements

• Understanding of paperwork procedures and documentation requirements.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
• Ability to spend up to 12 hours a shift on foot around hot machinery(continental).The ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and /or bending under objects, pushing, and pulling objects.

Extruder Technician Reports to R-Pet Manager. Full Time- Non-Exempt- Pay Range: $25 - $26, depending on experience and shift.
