Job summary

Altium Packaging in Reidsville, NC is seeking Production Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team. You will operate blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyors, with on-the-job training available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate’s degree preferred
• Ability to recommend process improvements and work safely
• Strong English language skills and willingness to learn apprenticeship or formal training
• Desire to learn and grow within the manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Operate blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyors to produce quality bottles
• Perform audits, weights, and quality checks
• Adhere to quality control, process procedures and GMPs
• Make adjustments to meet product specifications and output targets
• Assist with preventive maintenance and mechanical changes
• Prepare maintenance requests and document repairs
• Train new employees as required
• Document daily reports including rejects and line efficiencies
• Maintain safety standards and comply with company policies and regulations
• Support continuous improvement and other duties as assigned

In this role, you will operate a variety of production equipment, including blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. Responsibilities

• Operating blow-mold machines (including wheels, reciprocating, or shuttle machines) to ensure production of quality bottles
• Performing audits, weights, and quality checks
• Adhering to quality control, blow mold process procedure, and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Making adjustments to meet product specifications
• Repairing or replacing pneumatic and hydraulic lines
• Assisting with preventive maintenance, mold, neck and blow pin, and other mechanical changes
• Grinding excess bottle and material
• Troubleshooting and resolve process problems
• Preparing maintenance request forms and documenting equipment repairs
• Training blow-mold employees as required
• Preparing and documenting daily reports, including rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies
• Ensuring compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies
• Performing other duties as assigned by management
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); associate’s degree, preferred 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Ability to recommend process improvements
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Solid English language skills
• Desire to learn Apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty, preferred
