Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastics extrusion equipment, ensuring high-quality production, and adhering to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that values precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement in plastics manufacturing processes.

These are 12‑hour shifts, days or nights, rotating schedule. Work half the year! Holidays may be included on the work schedule.

Day shift – 6:45 am to 7:00 pm: $17.00/hr
Night shift – 6:45 pm to 7:00 am: $18.00/hr

Duties

• Set up, operate, and monitor plastics extrusion machinery to produce high‑quality extruded products.
• Perform routine inspections of extruded materials using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Adjust machine settings based on process requirements and quality standards, utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control.
• Conduct troubleshooting and minor maintenance on extrusion equipment, including press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and fabrication tools.
• Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Perform quality checks throughout the production process to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, or other related tasks involving plastics blow molding, injection molding, or machining processes as needed.
