Job summary

West Hartford Public Schools seeks a proactive Extraordinary Needs Paraprofessional at Charter Oak International Academy for a full-time, 10-month role with full benefits. You will work in the special needs program supporting students with behavioral, social and emotional concerns.

Candidates should be patient, respectful, flexible, and capable of lifting and other physical duties as required. Prior paraprofessional experience preferred; PMT training preferred.

• Paraprofessionals are expected to exhibit professionalism, punctuality, and attentiveness of job responsibilities at all times.

Responsibilities

• Support students with behavioral, social and emotional concerns in the special needs program.
• Assist with classroom activities and behavior management.
