Job summary

Open Book Extracts, based in Roxboro, North Carolina, is seeking an Extraction Associate to support the extraction lab under the Extraction Manager. The role focuses on safe, compliant operations, recordkeeping, and equipment maintenance in a cGMP environment while adhering to SOPs and quality controls.

The position emphasizes the need for hemp processing knowledge, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in diverse weather with a strong work ethic and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of or be learning about hemp processing and extraction.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with hemp industry terminology and scientific techniques is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Receive, handle, and prepare harvested flower material for extraction.
• Perform extraction and related processes following SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of extraction equipment and space.
• Track hemp products from biomass to ingredient production per procedures.
• Document batch production, labels, and lot numbers accurately.
