Job summary

The Westin New York Grand Central is seeking a dedicated hotel housekeeping team member to help maintain pristine guest rooms and public spaces. You will perform cleaning tasks with attention to detail and safety, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests and a smooth operation for the team.

Daily duties include cleaning bathrooms, making beds, restocking amenities, and reporting maintenance needs. The role offers comprehensive benefits, a supportive environment, and opportunities for career growth

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks
• Willingness to pitch-in and help co-workers

Responsibilities

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces
• Strip beds and make beds, change bed linens
• Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves
• Push and pull vacuum and empty trash
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart
• Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance

NoOverviewMaintain the hotel rooms and building to ensure safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
