Children's Dental Land in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Dental Assistant to facilitate communication between patients and dentists and assist during treatments. This role involves maintaining patient records, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
The ideal candidate should be bilingual in English and Spanish and have experience with dental software like Dentrix and Dexis. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient satisfaction and office goals in a supportive environment.

The Dental Assistant is the liaison between the dentist and the patient. They maintain communication with the dentist, patient, and the front office staff to ensure that the patient receive the ultimate patient experience. The Dental Assistant assists the dentist chairside during treatment procedures, performing all assisting duties permitted by law. Bilingual Dental Assistants must be fluent in speaking both English and Spanish.
Education (Not required, for externship program)
University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience.
Minimum Qualifications (Not required, for externship program)
Dental software: Dentrix and Dexis
Sterilizes and disinfects instruments and equipment.
Prepares treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures.
Greets and prepares patients for treatment.
Exposes and mounts dental diagnostic x-rays.
Assists the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures.
Conducts work in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety, OSHA and MSDS guidelines.
Records medical and dental histories and vital signs of patient.
Makes preliminary impressions.
Pours, trims, and polishes study casts, fabricates custom impression trays from preliminary impressions, cleans and polishes removable appliances, and fabricates temporary restorations.
Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by Dentist.
Actively participates in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment screening consisting of aCriminal Record Check,Drug Test,Degree Verification.
In order to qualify for an externship position, a qualified candidate must be referred through an accredited college or university. During the externship program, no payment will be offered.
