Job summary

Lincoln Financial seeks an External wholesaler for MoneyGuard Insurance to develop and execute a business plan, driving sales growth across a multi-state Texas, Arizona, California, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Hawaii territory. You will engage senior contacts, build strategic relationships, and lead programs to increase market share.

You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing from sale to issuance, conduct firm meetings, and work toward aggressive sales targets

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ external sales experience in financial services.
  • FINRA Series SIE, 6, 63, Life and Health as required licenses.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Analytical skills and close attention to detail for processing investment documents.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write grammatically correct routine business correspondence.
  • Adaptability in a changing work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and directs a more complex relationship platform by identifying senior contacts within targeted firms to achieve profitable sales and Lincoln's product breadth growth.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure proper processing from sale to issuance.
  • Conducts firm/institution meetings and in-person meetings to achieve sales targets (due diligence meetings, one-on-one meetings, sponsorships).
  • Develops knowledge of existing/targeted firms/institutions and value propositions.
  • Develops and maintains a more complex sales program to increase sales revenue and market share in the territory.
  • Increases penetration by growing relationships within existing firms/institutions.
  • Maintains sales call data in systems and completes sales reports.
  • Meets or exceeds department and sales goals for the territory.
  • Uses expense budgets to maximize opportunities within the territory.
  • Supports growth across Lincoln's product/service offerings and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Adheres to Lincoln’s Culture of Compliance and policies.

The Role at a Glance

As an External wholesaler for MoneyGuard Insurance you will develop, direct, implement, and maintain a business plan to achieve sales and growth goals for your assigned external wholesale area(s) of responsibility. You will build, enhance, and direct the relationship with the Brokerage sales channel in Texas, Arizona, California, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Hawaii. You will also build, direct, and maintain external wholesale sales programs/plans which result in an increase in sales revenue and market share within the assigned territory.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Builds and directs a more complex relationship platform by identifying senior contacts within targeted firms to achieve profitable sales and Lincoln's product breath growth.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.
  • Conducts firm/institution meetings and in-person meetings to achieve sales targets. (e.g. due diligence meetings, one-on-one meetings, sponsorship and speaking opportunities).
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of existing/targeted firms/institutions including targeted market segments, how they operate, and/or value proposition(s) and is known by them.
  • Develops and maintains a more complex sales program to increase sales revenue and market share within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Increases penetration in territory of by optimizing and growing relationships within existing more complex firms/institutions.
  • Maintains sales call data in appropriate systems and/or complete sales reports.
  • Meets or exceeds all department and/or sales goals/targets for their assigned territory.
  • Utilizes expense budgets to set limits and maximize sales opportunities within their assigned territory.
  • Works effectively to support growth in all segments of Lincoln's products/service offerings to maximize and capitalize on the opportunities to cross sell and penetrate assigned firms/institutions.
  • Adhere to LFDs Culture of Compliance. Comply with LFDs policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For
  • 3-5 years’ external sales experience in the financial services industry that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities preferred

  • Must live in territory
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Analytical skills and close attention to detail is necessary to determine proper processing of investment documents
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Skill in writing grammatically correct routine business correspondence such as brief transmittal memoranda
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment

The pay range for this position is $190,000 - $480,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
