Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Scrum Master for a national intelligence program with operations in Huntsville, AL. You will enable high-quality software delivery using SAFe, facilitating Program Increment planning, daily stand-ups, sprint events and retrospectives to keep releases on time and within budget.

Applicants should hold an active TS/SCI clearance (Poly preferred) with 8+ years IT experience (or 6 years with MS/MA, or PhD with additional years) and a SAFe Scrum Master certificate.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass a polygraph.
• Minimum 8 years IT experience with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; or PhD with additional experience.
• Demonstrated SAFe Agile Scrum Master experience.
• Experience leading Daily Stand-Ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.
• SAFe Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, PMI-ACP, or SAFe).
• 1 year Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience.
• Some experience with Jira and/or Microsoft DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Support team activities to deliver high-quality software products using an incremental approach.
• Identify and remove obstacles/ impediments and champion the SAFe methodology.
• Support Program Increment Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Implement and continually improve SAFe Agile practices.
• Support the development effort by conveying the vision to an Agile Scrum delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work.
• Liaise with stakeholders ensuring their interests are included in the release and that the release is developed on time and within budget.
• Support the Scrum process from initiation through delivery.
• Serve as liaison between the product owner, development team, and management to ensure targets and requirements are met.
• Preserve flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes.
• Help manage information exchange, project documentation and briefing materials.

Job Description: Peraton is seeking a Scrum Master to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia and Huntsville AL that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions.

• Support team activities to help deliver high-quality software products using an incremental approach.
• Identify and remove obstacles/ impediments to ensure effective and efficient workflows and champion the SAFe methodology (ceremonies and workflows).
• Support Program Increment Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Implement and continually improve SAFe Agile practices.
• Support the development effort by conveying the vision to an Agile Scrum delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work based on product owner guidance.
• Liaise with stakeholders ensuring their interests are included in the release, and the team to ensure the release is developed by the deadline and within budget.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance.
• Min 8 years with BS/BA, Min 6 years with MS/MA, Min 3 years with PhD an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated experience as a SAFe Agile Scrum Master in IT.
• Demonstrated experience leading Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, PI Planning, and Retrospectives.
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, PMI-ACP, or SAFe).
• 1 year Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience.
• Some experience with Jira and/or Microsoft DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required To hold this clearance.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
