Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Landscape Operator/Exterior Services Technician – DOT Operator to join our Lancaster, CA location. You will oversee landscape projects, operate equipment, and maintain grounds year-round in a team environment.

Minimum qualifications include: 21+ years old, valid driver’s license with clean MVR, ability to pass a DOT medical certification, and at least 2 years landscaping experience. The role offers full-time benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
• No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations ( FMCSA) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• No preventable accidents ( FMCSA) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre‑hire.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• 2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct grounds maintenance activities in parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Operate specialized equipment and vehicles to complete tasks.
• Work alongside fellow associates to manage all aspects of landscaping and exterior maintenance.
• Adhere to safety, security, and integrity protocols and regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
• Evaluate landscaping needs and implement sustainable upgrades.
