Job summary

Botanical Designs LLC is seeking an Exterior Installation Horticulture Technician in Minnesota to install exterior landscape accounts efficiently, follow design specs, and maintain a professional image. You will work with a crew, use landscape tools, and uphold safety standards while delivering high-quality installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year horticultural, landscape or construction experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a box truck in urban settings preferred.
• Strong plant identification skills; Latin nomenclature is a plus.
• Must lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install exterior landscape plants as directed by Crew Lead/designer.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness on job sites.
• Communicate issues promptly to Crew Lead and Supervisor.
• Participate in LEAN activities and support continuous improvement.

In order to ensure the highest level of services are provided, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Exceed clients’ expectations by providing professional, courteous and efficient service always.Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach to service while communicating with team members.Project a “good company image” always.Ensure a professional appearance, good hygiene and a clean uniformUse proper verbiageDemonstrate the ability to communicate effectively by:Wearing operational cell phones each working day. Report missing or malfunctioning cell phone to Supervisor ASAP.Responding to voice mails ASAPReport accidents, illnesses, or any other incidents to Crew Lead and/or GMReport necessary equipment, materials, or repairs to Crew LeadUnderstand and uphold Exterior Department Quality Standards.Is flexible and understands the importance of cooperation and teamwork.Follow direction and guidance provided by Crew Leads and Management Team.Keep informed of changes to daily routine.Take breaks at direction of Crew leadInstall plants per the direction of Crew Lead and look for details from Landscape Designer when needed.Use proper planting techniquesEnsure tools are brought to jobsite, tracked and cared forMust drive a company vehicle when needed.Work vehicle maintenance:Maintain clean vehicle at all times, ensuring interior and exterior cleanliness.Remove personal items from vehicles daily (lunchboxes, cell phones, garbage, etc.).Adhere to Company maintenance inspection policy.Report any and all accidents (regardless of nature and severity) immediately.Is aware of and concerned with the daily goals and expectations of the Crew Lead. When covering for a Crew Lead, must report concerns regarding accounts to Supervisor or Manager on a same-day basis.Ensure working hours, including overtime, have been recorded accurately and truthfully for each time period worked. Participate in company LEAN activities and maintain areas as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ensure knowledge of the appropriate safety and environmental revisions. Handle plants and tools with care, being concerned with safety and security.
