Job summary

The University of Idaho in Moscow is seeking an Extension Faculty Senior Instructor (Non-Tenure Track) to provide leadership for 4-H Youth Development and programming in Latah County and the North Central Idaho area. This fiscal-year extension position will collaborate with Extension staff and State 4-H teams.

Outreach and Extension responsibilities account for 95% of the role with University Service and Leadership at 5%.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that respond to local needs.
• Experience working directly with youth and adult audiences and collaborating with community organizations to provide educational experiences for program audiences.
• Experience teaching, facilitating problem solving, communicating with varied audiences, managing conflict, building professional relationships, and supporting leadership development.
• Experience working as part of a team, coordinating Extension programming, and conducting marketing and promotional activities for 4-H programs.
• Experience communicating through oral presentations, written materials, active listening, and public speaking.
• Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, and supporting volunteers.
• Experience using technology and computer applications in program planning, delivery, communication, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and management of the 4-H Youth Development program in Latah County and surrounding North Central Idaho area.
• Collaborate with Extension personnel across program and county lines; participate on State 4-H teams and committees.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination of Extension programing and outreach.

Position Summary

The Northern District is seeking applications for a fiscal yearExtension Faculty Senior Instructor, Non-tenure track, of 4-H YouthDevelopment. The Senior Instructor will provide leadership in 4-HYouth Development and in 4-H Youth programming. The position willprovide support and extension outreach in Latah and surroundingNorth Central Idaho Area sub-region within the Northern ExtensionDistrict. • Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and cost-recoveryactivities.
• Experience working with mass media, including television,internet-based platforms, radio, and newspapers.

• Must: possess a valid driver's license.
• Physical ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move 50lbs.
