Position Overview

This is a full-time two-year term position located at the OSU Extension office in Mansfield, Ohio (covering Richland County) with additional duties in other counties as needed.

Job Description

• Using standardized teaching materials, teach nutrition and other nutrition-related topics to low-income youth and/or parents or caregivers of youth participating in the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in a variety of community settings.
• Recruit program groups through networking and collaborating with other individuals, community agencies, schools, and organizations.
• Use surveys to assess adults/youth before and after the series of lessons.
• Participate in staff development and training opportunities to increase knowledge of nutrition topics and successful recruitment and teaching methods.
• Perform related work as required.
• This is a grant-funded position that is renewable by the sponsoring agency & by OSU.
• Must have own transportation.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certification or vocational training may be preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Pay Range

$16.82 - $21.85 hourly.
