Job summary

A Maintenance Engineer at Extended Stay America PremierKyle (operated by Aimbridge Hospitality) keeps HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other hotel systems running smoothly to ensure guest comfort and safety. You will perform preventive maintenance, conduct repairs, and respond to issues to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, hotel maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. Trade licenses are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience with hotel maintenance or related facilities work.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry knowledge.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems.
• Address guest room and public area issues; perform minor carpentry and repairs as needed.
• Respond to emergencies (alarms, outages) with safety as a priority.

Key Skills/Responsibilities

• Technical & Preventive Maintenance Powerhouse: Take charge of daily inspections, repairs, and fine‑tuning across our hotel’s plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systems—catching small issues before they become big ones. Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, common spaces, and on essential equipment (from refrigerators to ice machines), keeping everything running smoothly for an exceptional guest experience. Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to ensure our hotel remains both beautiful and fully operational.
• Quick‑Fix Hero: Jump into action to solve equipment hiccups, leaks, and those mysterious electrical issues—no problem too puzzling! Tackle emergencies like fire alarms and power outages with cool confidence, always putting guest safety front and center.
• Safety Superpowers: Move objects over 50 lbs., scale ladders, and power through physically demanding tasks with strength and stamina. Follow OSHA safety guidelines when wielding tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinery—safety first, always! Keep work areas spotless and safe, with proper storage for tools and hazardous materials to protect everyone.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Trade license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license required, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
