Job summary

Action Day Elementary School in San Jose is seeking an energetic Extended Day Teacher for TK-4th grade to lead engaging after-school activities and foster a love of learning.

You'll design hands-on lessons, support social-emotional growth, and partner with families to ensure a safe, creative, and inclusive environment from 2:45pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Previous experience with elementary students is required.

Qualifications

• Professional experience working with elementary school aged students required.
• College coursework in Education or related field is a plus.
• Excellent classroom management and written and verbal communication skills.
• A reliable, can-do attitude and an eagerness to learn and grow!

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school hands-on activities for TK-4th graders.
• Design and deliver interactive lessons that build confidence and teamwork.
• Collaborate with staff and families to support each child’s growth.
• Commit to the 2:45pm–6pm schedule, Monday to Friday.

Position Available: Extended Day Teacher- Elementary School, Grades TK-4th

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 2:45pm- 6pm
At Action Day Elementary School, we believe learning doesn't stop when the school day ends. We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic after-school teacher to lead engaging, hands-on activities for students in elementary school grades TK- 4th. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about inspiring creativity, building confidence, and promoting teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. You'll design and lead interactive lessons, build strong connections with students, and work closely with staff and families to support each child’s growth. Compensation: $18-24/hr. depending on individual experience, education and position requirements.
