Hours & Schedule:

• During scheduled programming hours, which can range from 2:30-4:45pm, 1-4 days a week, Monday - Thursday
• This is a part-time, at-will, non-benefited position

Salary:

Class III Range: $23.06-27.15/hr. based on experience

Required Education:

• High School Diploma
• 60 credits of post-secondary education or passing score on the Para Pro Exam

Required Experience:

• 18 years or older
• Experience working as a paraprofessional
• Experience working with youth with diverse needs including developmental, physical, and/or social-emotional needs
• Experience working with youth from different socio-economic and racial diverse backgrounds
• Ability to transport self between work sites

Preferred Experience:

• Experience providing academic support to students
• Spanish, Somali, Pashto, Dari speakers

Job Description:

Under the general direction of licensed staff the paraprofessional assists with transitioning students from school day to after school activity programming. Paraprofessionals also provide academic support and support with student behavior, building developmental relationships with students that carry over between school day and extended day programming.

• Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities
• Work effectively with students of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds
• Ensure accurate student attendance
