Once the children are picked up, the focus shifts to closing down the space—cleaning, resetting, and preparing the environment for the next day.

This role is ideal for someone who is creative, dependable, and excited to take ownership of both the fun and the function of the afternoon program.

  • Engage children in age‑appropriate themed activities, promoting creativity, movement, and social development
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment
  • Assist with cleaning and tidying of classrooms, shared spaces, and materials at the end of the day.
    • Vacuum, mop, and sweep the floors
    • Spray toys with disinfecting solution
    • Deep clean toys as needed
    • Take out trashes

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Support daily routines and transitions with patience and positivity
Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple age groups with attentiveness and care
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to maintain professionalism in all interactions
  • Willing and able to complete annual professional development through the Montana Early Childhood Provider Registry
