Job summary

Clay Ingels Company, Lexington, KY is seeking an Exterior Door Assembler to assemble exterior doors and prepare jamb components, following industry standards and working with a team.

The role involves building doors with pneumatic tools, installing glass, hinges, and brick mold, and preparing units for shipping. A high school diploma and ability to lift 50 lbs are required; carpentry skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nail guns and basic hand tools used in door assembly.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Compute basic measurements with fractions.
• Carpentry skills are a plus.
• Must be able to keep workspace clean and be on time.

Responsibilities

• Build doors at an increasing rate with exceptional quality.
• Assemble exterior single door units.
• Work on a team at a fast pace.
• Builders will shoot door frames together with pneumatic staple and nail guns.
• Install door glass into door panels.
• Apply hinges to door frames and panels.
• Apply brick mold to door units when complete.
• Doors will then be dressed for shipping with supplied products and placed onto a designated cart.

Exterior Door Assembler

Job Summary

Assembles Exterior doors, prepares Exterior door jamb components. Understands the exterior components and industry, works well with team.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Build doors at an increasing rate over time with exceptional quality.
• Assemble/ builds exterior single door units.
• Works on a team at a fast pace.
• Builders will shoot door frames together with pneumatic staple and nail guns.
• Install door glass into door panels.
• Apply hinges to door frames and panels.
• Apply brick mold to door units when complete.
• Doors will then be dressed for shipping with supplied products and placed onto a designated cart.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of nail guns, basic hand tools (tape measure, hammer, knives, etc.)
• Able to read and write in English.
• Compute basic measurements with fractions.
• Carpentry skills are a plus.
• Must be able to keep their workspace clean and be on time.

Education and Experience: High school diploma

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
• Stand on concrete floors for up to 10 hour shifts.
