Austin Oaks Hospital in South Austin, Texas, is seeking a licensed Music, Art, or Recreational Therapist- PRN to provide art, music and therapeutic recreation services to patients across age groups. The role includes direct therapy, evaluative activities, and coordination of hospital-wide events to support crisis resolution and personal growth.

Qualified candidates will have a Therapeutic Recreation, Art or Music degree and Texas licensure (NCTRC/CTRS/MT-BC/ATR).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Art or Music.
• Certification with NCTRC, CTRS, MT-BC, and ATR in Texas.
• Experience preferred: one year working with child, adolescent and adult populations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's and/or Master's level degree from an accredited college /university in a Therapeutic Recreation program, Art or Music.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Required: Certification with NCTRC, CTRS, MT-BC, and ATR in Texas.

EXPERIENCE: Preferred: One year experience working with child, adolescent and adult populations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of object weighing up to 25 lbs. Physically fit to demonstrate and conduct recreation activities for patients. Physical ability to restrain patients through use of hospital approved methods.
