Job summary

Medical City Healthcare is seeking an Expressive Therapist at the Medical City Mental Health and Wellness Center - Frisco. This role provides expressive therapy services and participates in a multidisciplinary team to help patients identify and express feelings through art, music, dance, poetry, and drama.

The position emphasizes client-centered sessions, timely documentation, and collaboration with clinicians to meet treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, or Recreation Therapy is REQUIRED.
• Certifications MT-BC, ATR-BC, or CTRS may be required at time of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide expressive therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct individual and group expressive therapy sessions based on client needs.
• Complete assessments, documentation, and timely progress notes.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and weekly clinical supervision.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet treatment goals.
