Summary: The primary responsibility is to move patients from their rooms to various locations within the hospital. During the transport, the employee should ensure that the patient is safe, comfortable and provide them with friendly companionship. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have good physical stamina and have excellent time-management skills. They must follow patient transport directions on a hand held device that is assigned and used during the shift, and communicate with patients in a positive, uplifting manner to improve patient experience during transport.
