Job summary

D Automotive Dealership in Henrietta, TX is seeking a Lube Technician to perform oil changes, fluid checks, and basic automotive diagnostics in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities include testing systems, refilling fluids, inspecting tires, installing oil filters, and communicating oil levels to teammates; ASE certification preferred, valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Must have solid automotive knowledge and diagnostic ability.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to learn new repair procedures and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and functioning properly.
• Isolate systems or components that may have caused the problem.
• Test drive and inspect/ refill fluid levels as needed.
• Ensure correct tire pressure and lubricate fittings.
• Install new oil drain plug and oil filter; report oil levels to teammates.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Repair or replace worn parts before breakdown occurs.
• Use power tools and hand tools to perform tasks.

*$16/hour M-F 7:30-4:30 or 8-5pm.

Automotive Dealership Lube Technician Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Automotive Dealership Lube Technician Qualifications

• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
• One year in a service department
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
