Job summary

Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth, GA is seeking a Lube Technician to perform express lube duties on vehicles, including oil and filter changes and basic maintenance. You will follow safety rules, maintain a clean work area, and report repairs to the service advisor while providing friendly service to customers.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to learn are required; shifts may include evenings or weekends. We value reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork as part of our service team.

Summary: The Lube Technician is responsible for performing express lube duties on vehicles.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Adheres to express lube guidelines.
• Performs lube, oil and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, and lubricating all joints, including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rods ends and ball joints.
• Reports all necessary repairs to service advisor.
• Installs completed LOF reminder sticker in vehicle.
• Checks battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed.
• Checks coolant level and refills as necessary.
• Ensures that vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
• Checks fluid level prior to release of vehicle to ensure proper levels.
• Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
• Participates in required training
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
• Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
• Complies with Company policies and procedures
• Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Physical Demands

Environment Demands

Duties are performed primarily in the service area. Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions. Frequently interacts with service advisors and the service manager.

Verbal and Writing Ability

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
